Liu Lu Legal, LLP (“LiuLuLegal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide us when you visit, use, or access the website, www.liululegal.com (the “Site”) including, but not limited to, when you sign up for newsletters, email us, or contact us through the “Contact Us” page. Unless specifically stated, this Privacy Policy does not cover information collected offline or on any other website.

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the Site after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes. For example, you may provide us with your first and last name and email address when you sign up to receive our marketing emails or other materials. Opt-Out. You can always opt-out of newsletters or marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the email, or by contacting us at mary@liululegal.com. However, you may continue to receive administrative emails.
 

Information Sharing and Aggregated Information

We do not share Personal Information with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your explicit, opt-in consent. We may use your Personal Information for purposes of research, the improvement and/or development of our services or business, and to analyze and promote the services or business. We may use or disclose aggregated or anonymized data for lawful business purposes and as set forth below. The anonymized data will have all personal identifiers removed.

 

We may share your information, including Personal Information, with third parties with your consent as disclosed at the time we collect the information or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, and under the following circumstances: 
 

  • with our vendors or service providers, such as a web hosting company, analytics vendors or service providers or an email newsletter service, in order to provide our services or to support our operations and the Site; 

  • to comply with a legal process or subpoena or to otherwise comply with law or regulation, or at the request of a governmental entity conducting an investigation; 

  • to protect and defend the legal rights or property of LiuLuLegal, the Site or its users, or any other party, and to protect the health and safety of our users or the general public;

  • to a buyer or other successor in the event of a business transition such as a merger or acquisition by another firm wherein your Personal Information will likely be among the assets transferred or retained by the departing members of LiuLuLegal. By providing your Personal Information, you agree that we may transfer your information in connection with any business transition. 

 

Third-Party Links and Social Media Sharing

The Site may contain links to other sites or relevant legal services sites (“Third-Party Links”), as well as integration with social media sites and other platforms or services. For example, the Site may include a website tool to display an attorney’s or member’s social media post or the Site may contain buttons that direct users to an attorney’s or member’s LinkedIn page or LiuLuLegal’s Twitter or Instagram page.   

 

Third-Party Links are not controlled by us nor are we responsible for any content contained on any such website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by other sites, including any social media networking pages, and the privacy practices employed by such sites may not be the same as our practices. We encourage you to read any external party's privacy notice before visiting, using, and/or providing any personal data through any such site.
 

Security
We do our best to protect your personal information, however, no security safeguards are 100% secure. We, therefore, cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to the Site. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site.

 

Do Not Track

Children Under 13

The Site is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a user of the Site is under the age of 13, we will delete that information or take the appropriate actions to delete that information and restrict such user from access to the Site.

 

Users Outside of the United States

LiuLuLegal is based in the United States and is intended for a U.S. audience. If you live outside of the United States, you understand and agree that we may transfer your information, including personal information, within the United States. The Site is subject to U.S. laws, which may not afford the same level of protection as those in your country.

 

Changes To Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change or update this Privacy Policy in our discretion at any time. We will notify you of material changes to the Privacy Policy by posting the changed or updated Privacy Policy on the Site. We may also provide notice to you in other ways in our discretion, such as through contact information you have provided. Any changes or updates will be effective immediately. The date the Privacy Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. We will not use your Personal Information in a manner materially different from the Privacy Policy in effect at the time we collected your Personal Information without your consent. However, you may need to consent to the new or revised Privacy Policy in order to continue to access or use the Site.
